IKO flexia Balcony systems
Liquid waterproofing systems for balconies
Liquid waterproofing systems are the best solution for the seamless waterproofing of various structures including roofs, balconies, terraces, gallery floors, parking roofs, car parks, etc. These systems ensure perfect waterproofing of the surfaces and ensure the ideal protection. Damaging influences such as rain, sun, foot traffic and even motorised traffic are repelled by the liquid waterproofing, meaning that the surface is protected through the four seasons.
Balconies are an attractive, cosy but above all practical extension of our living and working spaces. But these balconies often have a lot to endure. They withstand weather and wind year after year. Good protection is therefore essential. Nevertheless, the aesthetic design and finish of the balcony is also important and should not be overlooked.
IKO has the perfect and comprehensive solution for the protection and finishing of your balcony. Our 1- and 2-component liquid waterproofing systems ensure that the balcony is not only made perfectly watertight, but also that it looks wonderful.
IKO offers you 2 systems with an endless range of applications:

Working with IKO liquid waterproofing systems
Our system ensures a perfect waterproofing of your projects, but of course this is only possible if these systems are installed with the necessary care, attention and expertise. In order to guarantee the installation of these systems, only IKO Certified Contractors can install IKO liquid systems.
You become a Certified Contractor after thorough theoretical and practical training, provided by our IKO instructors. The certification must be renewed every year. IKO provides customised courses at regular intervals at the specialised Training Center in Antwerp, on site at the start of a specific project or, if requested, at the contractor’s premises.
IKO guides the various construction partners through all phases of the construction process step by step: from the specifications phase, through the execution phase to the delivery of the project and after-care. IKO provides free technical expertise and project advice on site. There is also the option of soliciting an independent consultancy for further expertise and the drafting of specifications.
For new projects IKO provides at least 3 no-obligation quotations by certified IKO contractors. The technical advisor at IKO will provide the necessary on-site support during the start-up of the project. The advisor will then visit the project site on a regular basis, to inspect the work carried out by the accredited IKO contractor. In the event of questions or snags, the advisor will quickly be on site to assist the contractor.
Project follow-up
On top of the standard product guarantee cover, the contractor or client may also opt for IKO’s 10-year watertight insured guarantee. In this case, an independent inspection agency will be appointed, which will inspect the installation by the approved contractor at all stages of the project and draw up a detailed report for each visit. By following this process, the inspected implementation steps are insured against any mistakes.
